Australian Yachting Review

Everyone likes to go on vacation, especially the rich and famous. But the class and service of a 5-star resort can become tedious and boring. Often these getaways are littered with fans and paparazzi, which is a terrible burden when trying to relax and unwind. Much like everything else in their lives, the rich and famous tend to go overboard when they’re on vacation. In order to receive the utmost privacy and luxury, they’re happy to spend time – and money, lots of money – on luxury yachts.

  Snapper Fishing
Originally named by Captain Cook due to its resemblance to the snappers from America but the local snappers belong to the family of Breams and its closest relative in Victoria is the Black Bream. Australian Snapper inhabit the entire southern coast and are highly prized for their fighting spirit and their table qualities. As a child, I use to watch the fishermen coming back from a mornings fishing at Mordialloc boat ramp with an esky full of these fish. Today the Snapper are more difficult to find but that only makes them more desirable as a great sporting fish.

bream fishing
If you are an avid fisherman and you live there, then you know how popular bream fishing is there. If you don\'t live there, this is another good reason to visit. Bream fishing in Australian is almost cult-like in the same way that bass fishing in America is. If you are from America you might be thinking, \"We fish for bream here, too\". Yeah, but for the most part not like they do in Australia. A typical day of bream fishing in America is packing a litter lunch with the kiddies and going to a nearby park with a pond and dropping a worm in with a bobber attached to it to catch a little 100g blue gill, pan fish, perch or sun fish (one of the many names give to bream in the U.S.). Not only are they easy to catch (providing you have the right bait or lures) but they are extremely great tasting, crumbed, battered or lightly stir fired with Asian greens. We have some very simple and delicious squid recipes to try. If you want to catch squid, check out our list of hottest squid fishing spots in Australia. Let us know if you have squid spots to add. Saltwater Fly Fishing
When it comes to fishing, if you can’t find it in Australia, you probably can live without it. Australia is so chock full of rivers, streams and lakes that make for great trout fishing, bass fishing, bream fishing and more. These waters are typically fished with traditional rods and reels, or one of the big favorites, fly fishing gear. But, freshwater fishing is only one aspect of angling on this beautiful continent. Saltwater fly fishing in Australia is very much the rage and for good reason.
